In this month’s news we are proud to feature three alumni of our PhD program who have recently accepted tenure-track faculty positions, continuing our ten-year trend of 100% placement of PhDs in careers in art history.
Keri Watson (PhD 2010) is excited to join the Department of Art History at Ithaca College, where she will teach courses in Museum Studies and serve as Internship Coordinator. In addition to teaching, Dr. Watson will continue her research on modern visual culture and the history of photography. In the coming year, Dr. Watson will present on art critic and curator Elizabeth McCausland at the Southeastern College Art Conference in Greensboro, NC, and on art history as civic engagement at the College Art Association Annual Conference in Chicago.
Dr. Watson is looking forward to developing Ithaca College’s new concentration in Museum Studies, as well as collaborating with IC’s Handwerker Gallery and the area’s numerous museums and archives.
