Internship and Career Workshops This Month

Published October 17, 2017

It’s never too early to begin researching and applying for competitive internships for 2018. For student seeing internship tips and opportunities, UAHA will host an Internship Workshop on Thursday, October 26 in WJB G40 from 6 to 7 pm. The workshop is tailored to students in the College of Fine Arts and the College of Music, and led by Career Center Liaison Carey Fee. Dr. Fee also offers career and internship advising in her office at 230 Fine Arts Building (weekly drop-in hours vary, so email ahead for schedule).

Professional development and internship opportunities will also be the topic of The Arts Work, a career panel and networking reception on Wednesday, November 1 from 6 to 8 pm at FSU’s Museum of Fine Arts (MoFA). This event, hosted by the Career Center and the College of Fine Arts Leadership Council, will bring together representatives from Master Craftsman Studio; the Council of Culture & Arts (COCA); Gadsden Arts Center & Museum, The RAA Middle School Arts Magnet Program; Thomasville Center for the Arts; MoFA; and Arts, Culture, and Education Consulting. Arts professionals will answer career-related questions on a panel from 6 to 7 pm, followed by a reception in which students can chat with the panelists and additional special guests, making connections that may lead to internship and job opportunities.
