Event Details
This fall, The Department of Art History will host a series of lectures on Wednesday evenings.
Dr. Grant Mandarino presents “Political Spectacles: Looking through the Illustrieter Beobachter,” the third event in our Fall Lecture Series this Wednesday, October 23, at 4 pm in WJB G40. Dr. Mandarino will explore how conflicting political viewpoints were visualized as spectacles in illustrated magazines produced in Germany during the 1920s, and what these works might tell us about our own increasingly polarized image world.
