Kamensky is the author of Governing the Tongue: The Politics of Speech in Early New England; The Exchange Artist: A Tale of High-Flying Speculation and America’s First Banking Collapse; and her forthcoming book A Revolution in Color: The World of John Singleton Copley. She teaches courses in early America, the age of revolutions, and the Atlantic world, with concentration in the history of family, culture, and everyday life.
