The CFA Museum of Fine Arts is proud to present a documentary about artist Alice Neel. This movie, a documentary by Alice Neel’s grandson, Andrew, explores Neel’s life as an artist and the factors which influenced her work. Her paintings were bold; when she was in her 80s she painted a nude self-portrait (which, by the way, was “artful”). The film includes interviews with family and surviving friends. Interviews include artists Chuck Close and Alex Katz.
Special location and time: Room 249, small auditorium accessed from hallway next to Museum; movie only, no business.
Doors open at 7:00; movie begins at 7:10
