Museum Object class 2016

Spring 2016 Museum Object students with instructor Alison Reilly

Each semester, twelve to fifteen Art History undergraduate students in the Museum Object course have the unique creative opportunity to mount their own exhibition. From curating to promotion to exhibition design, the entire production is a hands-on learning experience for future museum professionals. The exhibition for the spring of 2016, Inked! Evolution of Print Culture, will take place from April 18 to 28 in the WJB Gallery. Featuring a selection of printed pages ranging from the Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution donated by Tobias Mostel, Inked! will also showcase the students’ research into the origins of the printed book. The Art History department is now accepting donations through Spark FSU to help support these students with the materials to help make this exhibition possible.

Your gift will allow our students to:

  • Properly frame materials
  • Present informational labels and placards
  • Compose a period-specific setting to display the works
  • Create an exhibition catalogue
  • Promote their exhibition to the FSU and Tallahassee communities

Thank you!
