Please join the Art History faculty and graduate students on Wednesday, September 20 for What I Did Last Summer, an informal conversation on current research projects. Participants will describe their work in brief presentations and discussions with the audience. The forum will begin at 5 pm in WJB G40, and will be followed by light refreshments.
Student participants will include Stephanie Bender, describing her discovery of two unpublished photographs in the August Sander archive in Cologne, Britt Boler on her reorganization of the Facsimiles of Medieval Manuscripts and Incunabula guide for Special Collections, Ashley Lindeman describing preliminary dissertation research in Florence on Futurist murals, and Sarah Shivers on her participation this summer in a project to create a new relative chronology of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame du Fort in Etampes, France.
Professor Doron Bauer will present his research on Mudejar Palaces and Slavic Fools; Professor Stephanie Leitch will describe her collaboration on a research project at the John Carter Brown library in Providence, RI; and Professor Paul Niell will discuss his summer research in Puerto Rico for a book project on colonial landscapes under Spanish imperial rule, including the documentation of endangered colonial buildings.
