Forgotten Canopy Conference Series Co-organized by Paul …

Associate Professors of Art History Paul Niell (FSU) and Stella Nair (UCLA) co-organized the conference series The Forgotten Canopy: Ecology, Ephemeral Architecture, and Imperialism in the Caribbean, South American, and Transatlantic Worlds. This core program concludes with Conference 3: Imperialism in April, 2023, at the Center for 17th– and 18th–Century Studies of the Clark Memorial Library of UCLA.

Professor Robert Neuman recently published the monograph From Hollywood to Disneyland: Walt Disney’s Theme Park and the Influence of American Movies (McFarland, 2022).  A respected scholar in the field of Early Modern art history, Neuman also teaches and publishes on Disney animation and theme parks.
