The Undergraduate Art History Association (UAHA) will hold the first general meeting of the academic year on Wednesday, September 14 at 5 pm in room G40 WJB. All majors and students interested in art history are invited to attend. UAHA hosts a variety of arts-centered events geared towards fostering a close knit community of undergraduate art history students and expanding the educational experience outside the classroom.
Wednesday’s meeting will be an opportunity to meet UAHA officers Kelly Scandone, Nat Jones, and Mya Frieze, and hear their plans for the upcoming semester. They will discuss the reintroduction of the Zine, a publication founded by UAHA in years past, which features up and coming local artists and art events and showcases work produced by FSU students. After a few years’ hiatus, the officers hope to publish the new Zine in the spring of 2017, so contributors and editors are needed. College of Fine Arts Career Center liaison Carey Fee will also be at the meeting Wednesday to give a brief presentation on her new role and the resources she provides for students seeking internships and jobs in the arts.
The meeting is open to the public and should last about an hour. For more UAHA information, see the group’s facebook page.
