Art History Alumni Day 2025

College of Fine Arts

Join us for Alumni Day — a full day of activities celebrating our community, from morning campus tours and class visits to afternoon social gatherings and an awards ceremony honoring distinguished alumni.

October 20, 2025

The day will include campus tours, seminar visits, and plenty of time to connect at social gatherings. The Art & Design Library will be open throughout the day for drop-in visits with faculty, students, and our alumni guests. At noon, join fellow art historians in the reserved private dining room at the Suwannee Dining Hall. At 4:30pm we’ll gather in WJB G40 for special presentations and conversations with this year’s distinguished Alumni Award honorees:

Emerging Professional
Kailea MyrickCurator, Ritz Theatre and Museum, Jacksonville
Kailea oversees museum tours, education, exhibitions, venue rentals, and community partnerships, and designs public programs that strengthen engagement with the museum. She is dedicated to creating inclusive, meaningful experiences that reflect and celebrate the diverse voices of the community.

Professional Achievement
Dr. Jennifer FeltmanAssociate Professor of Art History, University of Alabama Tuscaloosa
A specialist in the art and architecture of medieval Europe, Dr. Feltman’s research centers on Gothic sculptural programs. Her current work uses 3D modeling to study the layers of paint on Notre Dame’s Last Judgment portal, where she serves as part of the official restoration research team, Chantier scientifique de Notre Dame.

Professional Achievement
Dr. Tanja JonesAssociate Professor of Art History, University of Alabama Tuscaloosa
Dr. Jones’s scholarship explores fifteenth-century Italian courts, commemorative practices, and cross-cultural artistic exchanges. She also co-directs Global Makers: Women Artists in the Early Modern Courts, the first major digital humanities project to highlight the pivotal role of women as creators of visual and material culture across Europe and Asia.
