Jean Hudson

Jean Hudson joined the Department of Art History as Curator of the Media Center in 1996; she was appointed Assistant Chair in 2023. Hudson supports and implements department procedures and decisions and fosters communication among faculty, staff, and students. She is also responsible for the digital media and technology resources that support Art History instruction. In addition to overseeing the development and management of databases and digital delivery systems for image and text files, she administers research collections held in the department and college, including the Art and Design Library in the William Johnston Building. She trains and supervises graduate assistant staff, manages technology support, and prepares promotional materials and websites. Hudson served as member and chair of the College of Fine Arts WJB Gallery committee from 2012 to 2021. She has also served on the FSU Faculty Senate Technology Committee and the University Curriculum Committee (2021–24), and is currently a faculty representative on the University Academic Honor Policy Committee (2024–27).
