Alumna Charlie Farrell to Present Virtual Lecture on Edmonia Lewis at St. Louis Art Museum

Join Charlie Farrell (MA ’22), Romare Bearden Graduate Fellow at the St. Louis Art Museum, as she presents her first lecture in the museum’s Art Speaks program: Edmonia Lewis, Sculpting Her Path Forward. This virtual talk will follow accomplished sculptor Edmonia Lewis through her time in Boston, and then in Italy, becoming the first Afro-Indigenous sculptor to receive international acclaim. The talk will take place via Zoom on Thursday, February 9 at noon CST (1PM EST). There will be time for questions following the presentation.

Soon after receiving her MA in Art History / Museum & Cultural Heritage Studies, Charlie Farrell was appointed the 2022-24 Romare Bearden Graduate Museum Fellow at the Saint Louis Art Museum.
