Susan Davis Baldino
Adjunct Professor
Dr. Susan Davis Baldino has taught graduate seminars for the Art History MCHS program since 2014, and has held teaching and administrative positions at FSU for the past two decades. She taught in the FSU Honors Program and the Department of History where she was Interim Director of the Historical Administration and Public History Program. She led graduate student and adult cultural programs to FSU’s London and Valencia Study Centers. Before her teaching career, she was Director of Appleton Programs and Museum Studies at FSU.
Dr. Baldino received her Ph.D. in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester (UK) and centered her research on inclusive learning in museums as reflected in her Inaugural Doctoral Lecture, “Museums and Autism: Creating Inclusive Learning Communities.”
She has curated more than 20 exhibitions and has held leadership positions with the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, Florida Association of Museums, Tallahassee Museum, St. George Island Lighthouse and Museum, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. She received the 2023 Richard L. Puckett Leadership in the Arts Award.
She fervently works and advocates for persons with disabilities, connecting them with visual arts, drama, music, and dance through Arts4All Florida, the state organization on arts and disability.
