Preview Day for PhD Program

Advanced undergraduates interested in art history and students working on a Master’s degree are encouraged to join the zoom!

This will be an online event for students thinking about applying to PhD programs in art history. Whether you’re working on your application now or thinking about it for the future, U-M would like to meet you virtually, tell you about their department, share information about their program and the application process.

Faculty and graduate students from the department will present basic information and tips, and be available for questions.
Topics Covered Include:

  • Introduction to the graduate program in art history at the University of Michigan
  • How do you know when you’re ready to apply to graduate school?
  • How do you prepare for a PhD in art history?
  • Tips for writing an application–from personal statement to letters of recommendation
